Hopefully you all had a safe an happy summer on the water. Unfortunately it is THAT time of year again. The boats are out and I've spent the last week winterizing. Yuk! Hopefully I haven't forgot a water system. We have some great courses coming up in the winter term.

WHEN YOU NEED HELP ON THE WATER .....WHO YOU GONNA CALL ?

Definitely not the GHOSTBUSTERS !

WAIT ...... REMEMBER....... a cell phone may not always function in a given area. You might not get the proper authorities and you could just end up connected to "VOICE MAIL". With our VHF course, you will learn the special phonetic alphabet as well as the correct radio operating procedures. This course will enable you to pass the Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Certificate Exam, which will be given at the conclusion of this 3 evening course.

Registration for all of our WINTER classes will be held on Saturday December 15, 2007 at the Dalhousie Yacht Club, 74 Lighthouse Road from 12 to 3 PM with classes starting in the new year.

Remember, as of September 2009, everyone will need a Pleasure Craft Operator Card to operate a vessel with a motor, big or small.
